Spectator race (KOW)
At Kainuu Orienteering Week, a WOC spectator can experience the WOC terrain personally. The 2013 Kainuu Orienteering Week will consist of spectator events held in conjunction with the WOC. Kainuu Orienteering Week is rich in tradition: together with O-Ringen it is the oldest multi-day orienteering event in the world – “a week of holiday and orienteering for the whole family”, which started in 1966. Nearly 5,000 orienteers take part every year.
At Kainuu Orienteering Week, one can experience the exotic nature of the Kainuu region on the eastern border of the EU, as well as the hospitality of the Kainuu people. Kainuu Orienteering Week will be an essential part of the WOC week and its atmosphere. The schedule of the orienteering week with its rest days will give you a perfect opportunity to see the WOC finals and orienteer at the same competition centres.
At Kainuu Orienteering Week 2013 Event Director is Jarmo Hyvönen and secretary general Jukka Liuha. Course setters are Teemu Köngäs and Lasse Köngäs.

Kajaani 1st - 6th July 2012
Vuokatti 6th - 14th July 2013
